Workshops

A variety of workshops are provided each afternoon giving Conference participants the opportunity to get involved in writing, art, music, dance or movement, and storytelling. These are led by the guest teachers for that particular year. You are encouraged to try a workshop in an area of expression that you don't consider to be your strength. For instance, if you are a successful poet, then sign up to practice drawing led by Rita Shumaker. If you are an accomplished artist but are afraid that you can't sing, then bolster your courage and join in a singing workshop with the Brothers Frantzich.

Kabir said:

The small ruby everyone wants
has fallen out on the road.
Some think it is east of us,
others west of us.

Some say, "Among the primitive
earth rocks," others,
"in the deep waters."

Kabir's instinct told him
it was inside, and what
it was worth, and he
wrapped it up carefully
in his heart cloth.
